Description

The AvianSun Deluxe Floor Lamp from Zoo Med allows bird keepers to provide their birds with true full spectrum light, including UVB and UVA, just like they get in nature! This floor lamp is designed for use with Zoo Med's AvianSun 5.0 UVB Compact Fluorescent Lamp (not included).

This unique lighting arrangement will provide birds with safe levels of beneficial UVB and UVA for physical and psychological health. UVB enables birds to synthesize vitamin D3 for proper calcium metabolism which is necessary for normal growth, maintenance of strong bones, and egg production. UVA is visible to birds, enabling them to recognize mates, locate food, and identify different species. Without UVA, birds are essentially colour-blind!

Been using this for a few hours every morning for this last few weeks for a grey who barbed her feathers and we now have some lovely new pin feathers coming through

This is the 3rd one of these for me and I cannot recommend them enough if thinking of getting one get it from internet reptile as they are the best price that I have found you won't regret getting one the difference in the feathers is amazing and the birds love them I use mine in the winter when they cannot get out to help them. This is one of the best stands for the taller cages and able to shape it to suit you.
