Bought this for a colony of Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches and it's ideal. Good quality, seems very robust and very secure - the mesh lid is strong and clips in tight when you close it so the babies can't escape. Easy to put a lamp over it for additional light or heat, or stick a 7w heat mat under it (it's raised on feet) or on the back of it. Would be ideal for housing any love food as well, maybe terrestrial tarantulas, millipedes, scorpions, snails - most invertebrates. For Mantids and Stick Insects though (anything that might rest upside down on the mesh top) go for something front-opening - you risk them clinging to the mesh and preventing you from opening the tank otherwise. This would also be very well suited to hatchling snakes and lizards, provider the right temperate gradients could be achieved for the particular species being houses, or for growing on various amphibians, tadpoles etc. very useful bit of kit to have around for most reptile / amphibian / invertibrate keepers I'd imagine - so if you're not sure just order it, you'll use it for something.
