HabiStat Natural Snake Substrate is a premium, ready-to-use blend designed to recreate the loose, earthy soils found in natural snake habitats. Suitable for a wide range of species, including colubrids and pythons, it provides a more natural alternative to traditional substrates.
This carefully formulated mix supports natural burrowing and movement, while helping to maintain stable humidity gradients within the enclosure. It allows snakes to exhibit instinctive behaviours, contributing to overall wellbeing and enrichment.
Ideal for both naturalistic and display setups, this substrate creates a realistic, functional environment that closely mirrors conditions found in the wild.
Spread an even layer across the enclosure floor to your desired depth. Lightly compact the lower layers to support structure, leaving the upper layer looser for natural movement.
Spot clean daily and replace fully every 6–12 months, or as required. For enhanced natural setups, pair with leaf litter and other substrates.
