Description

The Avian Sun 5.0 UVB compact fluorescent provides birds with safe levels of beneficial UVB and UVA for physical and psychological health. UVB enables birds to synthesize vitamin D3 for proper calcium metabolism which is necessary for normal growth, maintenance of strong bones, and egg production. UVA is visible to birds, enabling them to recognize mates, locate food, and identify different species. Without UVA, birds are essentially colour-blind!

Excellent service, quick delivery and my Alexandrine Parrot is very happy with his extra uva/uvb light in these dark nights. Lamp easy to put together and ready to use quickly.

My two cockatiel kiwi & Zazu love their new lamp. I they full of live and I I can clearly see the impact on them after just a few days. They are calmer, look happier and content To play in their cage.

Lamp seems sturdy and looks good. Thought the lamp would have been brighter that it is. I have it hovering over the cage, but as my birds spend all day out of cage they will not benefit from the light, but those that are caged most of time should be okay for them
