Description

A compressed brick of broken leaf litter designed to help establish the intricate, bio-diverse layers typical of forests and jungles. Leaf litter is essential in supporting the delicate web of life within these ecosystems. As fallen leaves accumulate on the forest floor, they form a nutrient-rich microhabitat that shelters and sustains a variety of species. This natural layer provides crucial protection for insects, reptiles, and amphibians, shielding them from predators and environmental extremes.

The decomposition process enriches the soil with vital nutrients, supporting plant growth and sustaining detritivores like woodlice, millipedes, and springtails. Leaf litter plays a vital role in terrarium setups, fostering bio-active environments that replicate the natural conditions of forest habitats. Combined with other soil substrates and larger leaf litter, this brick helps create the layered foundation needed for thriving ecosystems in terrariums and vivariums, making it ideal for reptiles, amphibians, and other inhabitants.
