Description
HabiStat Orchid Bark Substrate is a natural bark chip substrate designed to replicate the look and function of a forest-floor environment. It provides an ideal balance of moisture retention and airflow, making it a popular choice for a wide range of reptile and amphibian species.
When used damp, orchid bark helps maintain higher humidity levels for tropical species. When used dry, it works well in temperate setups that require a clean, well-ventilated substrate.
The chunky structure allows for excellent drainage and airflow, helping to reduce damp patches while still supporting stable environmental conditions. It can also be blended with other substrates to create a more naturalistic, layered enclosure.
Suitable for reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates, orchid bark is a versatile and easy-to-maintain substrate for both display and practical enclosures.

Directions for Use
Spread an even layer across the enclosure base to your desired depth. Use dry or lightly misted depending on your species requirements.
Spot clean daily and replace fully every 6–12 months, or as required.

Delivery is valid to UK mainland addresses only. We regret we cannot currently ship outside the UK, to Northern Ireland (All BT postcodes), the Channel Islands (GY, JE), the Isle of Man (IM) or the Scilly Isles (TR21-25)
Orders over 5kg or 60cm in length may not be able to be despatched to the following areas/postcodes
