Description

HabiStat Walnut Grit is a natural substrate made from crushed walnut shells and is a good alternative substrate for desert set-ups.

Less abrasive than sand, the Walnut Grit allows for smooth and fluid movement helping reptiles that like to hide by burying themselves. Harvested from a sustainable source, this product is biodegradable. 

Our range of HabiStat substrates are packed in 100% recyclable and biodegradable paper bags. 

Directions for use: Spread substrate evenly across vivarium base ensuring a depth of 2" (5cm). Do not overfill if using underfloor heating. Spot clean as required and replace regularly.

I use this excellent product as a tumbler medium for producing a very fine matt finish on objects made of brass, in conjunction with a small amount of jeweller's rouge. I find that it is totally satisfactory for this particular purpose!
