Supports Healthy Hibernation

Internal parasites are commonly present in tortoises and may not always cause problems while the animal is healthy and active. However, during hibernation or periods of stress, parasite burden can increase as the tortoise’s immune system weakens.

Cloverleaf Absolute Tortoise Wormer+ is designed to help reduce internal parasite burden before hibernation and support recovery after waking, helping tortoises maintain better overall condition throughout the year.

Suitable For Routine Tortoise Care

Regular parasite management is an important part of maintaining healthy tortoises. Tropical species are typically treated 2–4 times per year, while hibernating species are commonly wormed before hibernation and again upon waking.

For maximum routine protection, many keepers choose to treat every three months, similar to preventative worming routines used for cats and dogs.

Easy Home Administration

Absolute Tortoise Wormer+ can be administered in two simple ways:

• Sprinkled over dampened food
• Mixed into a lukewarm medicated bath

This allows keepers to select the most suitable method for their individual tortoise.

How To Use

Medicated Food Method

• Lightly mist the food with warm water before application.
• Sprinkle the correct dosage evenly over enough food for one meal.
• Feed immediately after preparation.

Medicated Bath Method

• Add one level scoop (0.3g) per 2 litres of lukewarm water.
• Mix thoroughly before introducing the tortoise.
• Allow the tortoise to soak for approximately 20 minutes.
• Ensure water depth reaches approximately halfway up the shell and that the tortoise can comfortably lift its head above water.

Please note that some tortoises may keep their heads submerged for several minutes while drinking. This is normal behaviour provided the animal can comfortably raise its head above the water level.

Heavy infestations may require repeat treatment. This product can safely be re-dosed where necessary.
