Healthy and...

These packages are huge and honestly as far as premix diets go I think Arcadia has one of the bast. In contains papaya which has chitinase to help with insect digestion and silkworm with serrpeptase which encouragtes calcium absorption. I also love that this stuff has spirulina in it which is a great anti-goitrogenic food to counteract goitrogens in the dark leafy greens we like to feed. Great stuff for a bearded dragon.

I know some people have difficulty feeding this as it smells a bit like cat food and looks a bit like dirt when it's been mixed- can't really expect much from a mix that contains bugs. However once you get the consistency right, I've sucess by cutting grapes in half, hollowing the insides as much as I can with a spoon and replacing the omnigold inside the grape skin. Ours gobbles them up as long as it looks like a grape. I'm sure you could do this with any berry like food or even wrap it in greens. Once I got my beardie used to the omni gold "berries" she started eating them as plain balls. I find it to be a really handy and shelf stable food to keep on hand now.
